Who I Am
Hi! I’m Julie Harrison and I live in Florida, USA. Why TodaysHealthyLife.com? I want to share what I know about the vital connection between what we eat and the state of our health. It’s hard to enjoy life when you feel bad! Making small positive changes in our eating habits can make huge improvements in our health and quality of life. Life is meant to be joyful!
I’ve been blessed with good health but I got a wake-up call during a routine check-up when my doctor told me I was on my way to developing heart disease and diabetes. I just did not want to go there, at least not without a fight! I dedicated myself to taking charge of my health. That meant learning all I could about healthy eating, and then applying what I learned. Both my doctor and I have been happy with the results!
What I Do
I’ve been reading and studying information on healthy eating for over 12 years, and my friends and family have been asking me to share what I’ve learned. There’s a lot of information about nutrition out there and it’s often confusing. I wade through the sea of information for you and provide easy, practical tips and up-to-date information from expert sources on healthy eating.
Why I Do It
Every day there are new medical studies published that support the powerful connection between good nutrition and good health. There’s always tasty and convenient food available in our stores and restaurants, but a lot of it fails to provide us with good nutrition. We eat plenty of calories but those calories aren’t giving us what we need to stay healthy and happy. There are so many things we can’t control that affect our health (environment, age, family medical history). We CAN take charge of what we eat, however. It’s never too late to make changes. Small changes can have a big positive impact. There’s a need for helpful, uncomplicated information about making good food choices. My mission is to provide it.
